Laurie Vanina mini solo show

Come pass by our main gallery on Grant Avenue in North Beach, San Francisco and see Laurie Vanina’s mini art show currently being exhibited. Her constructive assemblage sculptures are detailed and filled with nostalgic mementos from the past. Capturing and containing “found objects” are one of the referenced point of view of her work. So, come pass by from now until March 1 to see her work.

CALL for ART: “Inked” – a group art show

The Paolo Mejia Fine Arts and Design are looking for artwork for our March group art show entitled “Inked” that will be held at our annex facility on Telegraph Ave., Oakland. We are searching for conceptual ink work on mylar paper and/or on other mediums. We are attempting to explore the various usage of ink and how it is applied.

Show us what you have and take part in our group art show that will take place in Oakland’s First Friday and Art Murmur.

Guideline:

+Submit up to 10 images no bigger than 1M each
+Must be a conceptual ink work of any type on any substrates
+Be creative and innovative
+Attach a separate file with art info:

CALL for ART: “The Beautiful, Surreal, and Ugly”

The Paolo Mejia Fine Arts and Design are looking for artwork for our March show entitled “The Beautiful, Surreal and Ugly”, a group art show that will exhibit paintings referencing Georgia O’ Keeffe’s floral influenced concepts and the iconoclasm of beauty. The magnification of beauty and it’s iconoclasm, through the scopes of floral abstraction, will be explored. We invite artists to participate in this group art show that will usher in the Spring Equinox.

We are looking for pieces that are:

+36″ x 36″ (3′ x 3′) – 4×4 in dimension
+zoomed in/magnified floral pieces that has a Georgia O’Keeffe referencing/concept
+fits the theme of “Beauty, Surreal and Ugly”
+any medium
+any style
